Terms of use

1. What this site is

A fan-run archive and community for I.O.I: profiles, discography, activity history, an events calendar and a place for fans to write to each other. Everything here is compiled by volunteers. Archive entries link to their sources so you can check them; where a source is missing, treat the entry as unverified.

Nothing on this site is official. Where our record and an official announcement disagree, the official announcement is correct and we would like to hear about it.

2. Your account

You need an account to post, comment, react or check in. One account per person. You are responsible for what is written from your account and for keeping your password to yourself.

If you are under the age at which you can consent to online services where you live, please use the site without an account, or ask a parent or guardian first.

3. What you post

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you give this project a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, store and distribute your post as part of the site, including in translated interfaces, for as long as your post is here.

Do not post anything you do not have the right to post. That includes photographs and video you did not take and are not licensed to share - see the media policy for how attributed material is handled.

4. What is not allowed

The community rules are part of these terms. Breaking them can lead to your content being hidden or removed, a warning on your account, a restriction on part of the site, a temporary suspension, or a permanent ban - roughly in that order, depending on what happened.

5. Moderation, and getting it wrong

Some words are refused automatically before a post is stored; the words that were refused are named back to you so you can rewrite. Everything else is reviewed by a person, usually after another fan has reported it.

Moderators make mistakes. A warning can be withdrawn, and when it is, it stops counting toward anything and you are told it was withdrawn. If you believe a decision about your account or your content was wrong, use the feedback page and say which post and when.

6. Availability

This is a volunteer project with no service commitment. Pages may be unavailable, data may be corrected or removed, and features may change or disappear. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.

The site is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

7. Removals and contact

If you are a rights holder, a member, or somebody depicted here and you want something removed, write to us through the feedback page. Requests from rights holders and from the people depicted are acted on first and are not treated as reports to be argued with.

We may update these terms. Material changes raise the version shown at the bottom of this page, and you will be asked to read them again.
